A post a day...or nay

I soon realised it was going to take too long to spend time working with the photos that I wanted to use and resize them and then upload them to this blog.

Because of this I set up a new website --> http://www.crcshetland.co.uk/

The new site allows me to easily catalogue any new photos I upload and has a commenting section for anybody willing to do so.

This blog might get updated one day, if I can find enough time to get it together!

Sands of Time

So much for photo a day. That has been about 3 months now since my last post. Put it down to being very busy... Here is one I took recently at Spiggie Beach.

Coromandel Peninsula

Another New Zealand photograph today. This one was taken at Shelly Beach, Coromandel Peninsula.


Not long after this a lady asked if I was German, shortly after that a man asked if I was Irish...of which I am neither! Either I had partaken in so much alcohol that my speech was so badly slurred neither could understand me or they were both stupid. I am going for the latter!

Burra!

Here is another two pics to get things up to date. Had a couple of hours to spare today and it was a nice day (for Shetland) so we headed out to Burra, ate our Sausage suppers, took a few pics and headed back again.

Leap Free

Seeing as my blog seems to be turning into more of a 'photo a week', or 'photo a month' I have decided to post a couple of pics today.


This is a picture I took of a dolphin in Napier (yes, another New Zealand image). The little bugger seemed to be trying to avoid the camera and this is probably about the best shot I got.

Tranquility

Yet another New Zealand photo. This one was taken somewhere up around the Coromandel Peninsula if I remember correctly.

Sky Tower

The Sky Tower is currently the tallest structure in the southern hemisphere. This picture was taken looking across Auckland Harbour.

Back from New Zealand!

Got back from NZ a couple of weeks ago and think I have almost adjusted back to reality. I am going to start posting some of my NZ pics each day, with maybe a few new ones thrown in as well. That should take me up to the end of the year at least!

Made it!

In NZ! All is well, beer is good. Been taking loads of pictures so keep your eyes peeled in a few weeks time. Tata fer noo.

Off to New Zealand!

Heading off to New Zealand for five weeks and have decided not to take the laptop with me. Going to have a computer free holiday! Hopefully I will have some piccies to post when I get back.

St Ninian's Isle

This picture was taken one sunny day in July from Mossy Hill. The island is St Ninian's, connected by a Tombolo.

Sea Debris

Broken Lagoon

One of my first attempts at HDR photography. A particularly stormy sky highlights this picture well.

Grainy Day

This picture was taken on a fine sunny Summer's afternoon, looking out towards the lighthouse on Sumburgh Head.

Pollution

An interesting find. This full barrel of oil was discovered washed up on the beach. The writing on the side reads 'Total', part of one of the oilfields off Shetland.

Fungi Flowers

This fungi was noticed battling it out with some dying flowers when I was out walking one day.

Foggy Dew

This picture was taken after a particularly long spell of fog. The grass was soaking and my feet ended up the same.
